Frequently Asked Questions
1. What will you be doing in Ireland?
The goal is to plant a church in Carlingford, Co. Louth. Currently there is no permanent evangelical church there. I will also be working in conjunction with a church in Dundalk which is about 35 minutes from Carlingford. Because there is no Evangelical presence and only 1 Christian that we know of in the village, much time will be spent doing ground up work - meeting people, making friends, getting Bibles in people's hands, trying to start Bible studies, etc.
2. How did this opportunity come about?
In 2008 I went on a missions trip to Ireland for 6 weeks. Since that time I’ve kept in contact with Pastor Stephen Murphy of Dundalk Baptist Church and several members of his congregation. In early 2012 he asked me if I would be willing to move to Ireland to help encourage the saints, offer further theological training to other pastors, and to help plant a church.
3. Why Ireland?
I have always had a place in my heart for Ireland since I was very young. Ireland is also in desperate need of the gospel. Its population is less than 1% evangelical, as such, there is a great need for workers in this field.
4. Where in Ireland are you going?
We would be headed to Carlingford in County Louth. Carlingford is a small medieval village on the Cooley Peninsula about 1.5 hours North of Dublin. To learn a little bit more about why we believe Carlingford may be a strategic location, please see Why Carlingford? on our ARBCA webpage.
5. How much funding do you need?
We need to raise roughly 70,000 Euros. From our perspective this seems like almost an impossible task. But we are trusting God to provide the means to get us there.
- At $50 dollars a month, we would need 43 supporters.

- At $150 dollars a month, we would need 15 supporters.
- At $200 dollars a month, we would need 11 supporters.
